God Daily Bears Our Burdens

by Gretchin Clavesillas

“Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.” Psalm 68:19

Sometimes things happen beyond our control. We tend to ask God, “Why?” Then we say, “I can’t do it!” But whether we like it or not, as long as God wants to use us, He has ways on how to lead us.

I personally felt that way. I said, “Please, God, I don’t want to be a representative.’’ But the prayers of those who chose me are more powerful than mine and maybe God wants me to learn something out of this responsibility.

Sometimes excuses hold us back from accomplishing things for God. He wants our willingness to serve. He needs our wholehearted acceptance of His calling. The good news is, God is not looking at our abilities but on our availability for Him. How amazing is that! Our heavenly Father is right there waiting for us to call out for help. He is willing to daily bear our burdens and give us abundant life as we continue to serve Him. He has given us the Bible that is full of wonderful promises and hope. If we read it and ask God what He is trying to tell us through it, our minds and hearts will be opened in a marvelous manner. So, if your life gets tough and you feel no one is there for you, take the hand of our loving Father and step into each day with Him. He is more than able and willing to shoulder every problem and give us guidance for each step we take. Let’s ask the Lord to help us become more humble and available to serve Him and others. And only then can we wear the crown of Glory. God bless us, missionaries. There is so much work to be done!
